It's the supporter--- not the newspaper journalist that says, whether or not we are in favor of the war, we are behind you.
It's the supporter who prays daily for the troops in harms way, bakes cookies, writes letter & cards and helps to send "care packs" of love and goodies to our troops.
Update: Since Jan. 1, 2010 "care packs", boxes of snack foods and other items including extra socks have been sent to 62 groups. Thats 1,860 "care packs", about 4,000 pairs of white socks, and 62 boxes of snack foods.
WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU Many thanks to the ladies that are making cool ties for our troops. Many church groups, schools, civic clubs and individuals have made this possible. GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU
WE CAN'T SEND "CARE PACKS' UNLESS WE HAVE A NAME AND ADDRESS No packages, letters or cards can be sent without that specific information. We will send to any group that is in harms way. We strive to send something for everyone in the platoon/group. If that number is not available, we send 35 "care packs" along with snacks and extra socks when they are available. Please send us information about your loved one or friend. We send to the ladies too.
ONGOING NEEDS: - Packages of white crew/tube socks (ALL SIZES) - New travel size toiletries - Packages of wet wipes - Snack foods- beef jerky, sunflower seeds, hard candy, crackers, individually wrapped snacks -Money to help with postage, we will send a receipt
SOCKS FOR SOLDIERS doesn't send books or magazines. They add weight to our supplies and to the postage. In 2009, we paid more than $9,000 in postage.
